ECONOMIC RECOVERY AND THE WHITE HOUSE.
It seems each day I hear another news piece on how the economy is improving and things are getting better. The jobless number is decreasing, the housing market is up and consumer confidence is rising. On paper, perhaps some of these things, at least temporarily, are true. However, from at least my perspective, and likely that of most Americans, things do not seem or feel to be getting better. In fact, the money we are making is worth less and less. Looking at the world from my perspective--one man just trying to pay bills and take care of his family, it's hard to rationalize this administration's claims of improvement when it's increasingly more painful to checkout at the grocery store or make a downpayment on a tank of gas. I'm not saying those in power are right or wrong, but one thing feels true--it's time to do something different. We need answers that work; a better monetary policy, energy policy, education policy, TAX policy. I find it near insulting that when in a jam even the left will pander us with a tax reprieve. You hear retoric like, " This payroll tax break will put $40.00 back in your pocket." Thanks a million Uncle Sam, but in today's world, while you (Government) keep printing money, inflating and devaluing our currency--what can I really do with forty dollars? FORTY DOLLARS! What a joke. Friends, I think they take us all for fools.
